Adel Eldahmy, MD, MBA

Adel Eldahmy, MD, MBA is Medical Director of MD Laguna and Laguna Behavioral in Laguna Niguel, California. Dr. Eldahmy completed his residency in Psychiatry at the University of California, Irvine in 1984, after which he went to private practice in Southern California. His fellowship in Psychiatry included the Eating Disorders program at the University of California, Irvine. In 1997, Dr. Eldahmy received his HealthCare MBA from the University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Eldahmy has served as a Medical Director at Long Beach Eating Disorder Clinic, Long Beach Psychiatric Center, and was Medical Director of the Eating Disorders program at Charter Hospital of Long Beach and Charter outpatient clinics in Los Alamitos, California. He also served as Chief of Staff at Los Altos Hospital in Long Beach, California.

In 2012, Dr. Eldahmy founded Telemed Foundation, a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) that uses telecommunication and information technologies to provide clinical healthcare to developing countries and rural communities around the world.

Joseph R. Simpson, MD, PhD

Joseph R. Simpson, MD, PhD received his undergraduate degree in biology magna cum laude from Harvard University. He received his MD and PhD from Washington University in St. Louis. His thesis work focused on neuroimaging in mood disorders and the functional neuroimaging of cognition-emotion interactions.
After completing his adult psychiatry residency at the University of California, Los Angeles Neuropsychiatric Institute/West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, he completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship at the University of Southern California. He is board-certified in psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in neuroimaging and in forensic psychiatry. Most recently he edited the book Neuroimaging in Forensic Psychiatry: From the Clinic to the Courtroom, published by Wiley-Blackwell in April 2012.
Dr. Simpson is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Southern California and the University of California, Irvine. He is currently a Councilor for the Southern California Psychiatric Society, a District Branch of the American Psychiatric Association, and is also an active member of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.

Ann Verma, MD

Dr. Ann Verma is board-certified in psychiatry and completed a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She attended medical school at The American University Of the Caribbean School of Medicine, and completed her Psychiatry Residency training in Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and Fellowship training at the University of South Dakota. Dr. Verma is now practicing Psychiatry with a special interest in brain health using a plant based/lifestyle modification approach to brain fitness/wellness in treating her patients. 

Dr. Verma’s work focuses on restoring life balance, brain and body health, and helping her patients improve their functionality and satisfaction in life. Dr. Verma’s has a broad background in the healing arts and many years of experience treating families successfully. Dr. Verma considers a wide range of interventions in her treatment plans including the use of nutraceuticals, medication, genetic testing, psychological testing, plant- based diets,ancient healing herbs, exercise and nutrition coaches, meditation and yoga, psychotherapy, and sleep/relaxation training. Her specialties include: Mood disorders, ADHD,insomnia, and other emotional and behavioral issues affecting adults and children.

Dr. Verma is well liked by families, in fact during most of her initial patient encounters, all the family members were interested in coming back for treatment after being part of their loved one’s care.

Dr. Verma has a passion for integrative care, therefore she is often working with primary doctors, functional doctors, and various other medically trained health practitioners to assist in coordination of care.
